It's a hot day outside, and the van's AC is doing all it can to keep up with the heat. My boss and I are driving back from a delivery, thankful the day's work is done. Bobby slows down when we hit the Route 7 extension in Danbury, CT. He then points out a tree on the side of the road. Even though the tree has fallen it's leaves are green and it continues to thrive. It's a strange sight. "Every time I see that tree I laugh to myself. Someday, someone should write a story about that tree."

Harn wasn’t just famous because he was a superhero.  Harn was famous because he way THE superhero.  He was the superhero that all the other superheroes looked up to.  He was the fastest, strongest, most indestructible superhero to have ever lived.  The sharp decline in super villain activity over the past 20 years where because he was the boogyman in the shadows to all the evildoers in the world. Suddenly his head snapped forward as a deafing crack filled his ears.  Black clouded his vision for an instant, and he stumbled forward.  Somewhere, a woman screamed.  Probing the back of his head with his fingertips confirmed his initial thoughts.  Blood.  He spun on his heels to try and see who his attacker had been, but all he caught was a glimpse of a hooded sweatshirt making its way through the crowded streets.  People all around had stopped to stare at him, mouths gaping.  Looking down he saw the crumpled metal slug by his feet.  Picking it up, he placed it in his pocket and continued walking.
